Back Links from Yahoo Answers

When the basic steps of onsite optimization are done, your website or blog needs quality back link. Easy to say but hard to get. I always start with back links from yahoo answers. This is the easiest option for me, and for other webmasters, for having quality back links pointing to your blog post or website.

For the people who don’t know what yahoo answers is, I shall explain it shortly. Yahoo answers is a service from yahoo (duh?), where people can post a question, and people who know the answer on that question, can post an answer. Within this answer form it is possible to put a link to some informational blog post or website content. With answering questions of other people you can receive back links from yahoo answers for free.

Well isn’t this spamming? You should ask me? NO! If you are writing good content on your webpage/blog, and people are having questions about that particular subject you made a post on your blog or website, then it is very good information for people who want to know more about the subject you are writing about.

Within yahoo answers it is possible to search for a question. So if my blog post is about keyword research, and I search on the keyword : seo (which is the main subject). Than yahoo answers will show me a list of question about seo. Than I browse trough the questions, searching for someone, who wants to know more about keyword research or having a question about it.

For this blog where you are reading on at the moment, I also searched for some seo questions on yahoo answers, who where still open to answer. I posted 3 answers on 3 different question, with a back link (from yahoo answers) to my seo blog. See here:

Voila you see, I have free back links which are quality too. This is completely ethical and definitely white hat seo. You help people with their questions, and you are having some nice backs link from answers. Maybe you even get some daily blog or website readers.

Search Engine Position

A great thing was happened yesterday, my blogpost received an search engine position on place number 13. With minimal keyword research and with minimal effort you can see it is pretty simple to get a descent ranking in the google search engine.

3 days ago on April 28, I made a post about the keyword: overture keyword tool. When I woke up yesterday, I checked the statistics of that post , and my new test example post already received traffic from the google search engine. Right after that I checked the google search engine position for the (overture keyword tool) keyword phrase, and we hit the number 13 spot in the search engine. Well that’s a nice position.

Another nice thing is that my blogpost is not only ranked on the keyword: overture keyword tool. But the blogpost is also ranked on some short or long, relevant synonyms like : overture keyword, overture tools. And a nice number 1 spot on the phrase: research using overture. Again more targeted traffic is coming to my blog.

I already checked out three days ago, the websites (my competition) who are in the top 10 results. If you check the top10 google search engine results on overture keyword tool. You see that on number one is the overture keyword site itself. Below that are some heavy trusted domains, like :

This is BIG trusted competition. Almost all well known and very trusted domains by the google algorithm. The search engine position number 13 we reached, with our simple blogpost, is just great. I expected a search engine position like this between number 10 and 18. With this information you can see google likes our blogpost. It sometimes also happens, that I am expecting a position between 10 and 20. But after a few days my website or blogpost has recieved above a number 100 placement. So I take my looses and I move on.

Ranking higher with this basic blogpost can be done. But I can’t predict how much effort it takes to enter the top10 search engine results. Maybe I can reach search engine position 10 by just some good backlinks. But it can happen that I need a lot of backlinks. Maybe more that 82 back links (look at the top 10 above).

You’ll see that reaching the top 20 can be done with minimal effort. Just follow the keyword research article. This is one of the most important steps to reach a descent search engine position. If this important step fails, it takes a lot of work, to rank a simple webpage or website in the top 20 search engine results. When you enter the search engine above position 60, just move on, and don’t waste you time with optimizing a bad page (in google his eye’s).

If google likes your website content you can see a descent search engine position, if there is minimal competition. Then the time has come to search for some good backlinks, to move up your search engine position. Follow my seo blog daily. Overture Keyword Tool

Most people now these days are using the overture keyword tool. Because of their big success the website is most of the time down. When you are busy with a new project you don’t want to wait, to research and discover new keywords. Again most webmasters like the overture keyword tool, because it is completely free. But there are other keyword suggestion tools out there, but most webmasters stay with overture keyword tool because of their habits.

So let me convince you not to use overture keyword tool anymore, there are other great free keyword suggestion tools out there. Webmasters will try to identify the most searched keywords with overture. But the data the overture keyword tool uses is not from the search engine where you are doing keyword research for. Maybe people are searching for different keywords on google than on overture. Most experienced webmasters (like me! ) only use google, while ordinary people with minimal computer and internet experience are using other search engines. So possibly the overture keyword tool is giving you a bad picture about what people are searching for on google. With google as number one search engine your starting point, overture keyword tool for keyword research is bad.

Google has his own keyword tool which is based on the data of themselves. With the google adwords keywordtool, you can do good keyword research based on the search queries from the google searchers. Another great advantage of the google keyword tool is that it’s always online! Overture keyword tool is almost always dead…

Google keyword tool gives you more information about keywords and synonyms than overture keyword tool does. If you enter a keyword in google keywordtool it gives you a list of relevant keywords also basic on the search engine algorithm. When you use this relevant keywords on your webpage or article, your website will receiving more value, so maybe higher ranking. The overture keyword tool possible will give you bad relevant keywords.

Better synonyms are another nice feature of the google keyword tool in comparison with overture keyword tool. With these synonyms I maybe get a better long tail keyword from my keyword, with less competition. Which means easier high ranking on a long tail keyword.

I don’t want to kill the whole overture keyword tool, but it is being killed by his own success. And my experience is that it is a better idea to use google tools to rank on google, than using third party tools like overture keyword tool. Google know what it wants to see on your website, and knows what people are searching for, and what is relevant. The overture keyword tool doesn’t know all this information.
